Website statistics and enquiry measurement

We use Burst Statistics, hosted with this website, to understand which pages people use and whether visits lead to an enquiry or a click on a telephone or email link. It is configured in cookieless mode without device fingerprinting. It uses a daily changing, non-identifying reference derived from connection and browser information; it does not recognise a returning visitor across different days. Statistics are not sent to Google Analytics or used for advertising profiles, and optional sharing with the plugin developer is disabled.

Names, email addresses, message text and other enquiry form answers are not included in these statistics. Optional site postcodes help us assess the work, and optional referral answers help us understand how customers find RCS. We use this information to respond to enquiries and improve our website and services. We respect browser Do Not Track requests. For questions or to object to this use, contact management@rcs-mg.co.uk.

Who we share information with

We may share information where necessary with our website, hosting, email and IT providers; professional advisers, accountants and insurers; payment and banking providers; customers, suppliers and vetted subcontractors involved in relevant work; and regulators, courts, law-enforcement bodies or other authorities where required by law. We do not sell personal information.

International transfers

Some service providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where this happens, we require an appropriate legal safeguard, such as UK adequacy regulations or approved contractual protections. Contact us if you would like more information about safeguards relevant to your information.

How long we keep information

We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purpose for which it was collected, including legal, accounting, insurance and reporting requirements. Enquiries and unsuccessful quotations are normally reviewed for deletion after 24 months of inactivity. Contract, project, invoice and tax records are normally retained for up to seven years after the relevant relationship or accounting period, unless a longer period is needed for legal claims, warranties, health and safety, insurance or another lawful requirement. Security logs are kept for a shorter period unless needed to investigate an incident.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to ask for access to your personal information, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or to object to processing. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing. You also have the right to object to direct marketing at any time.

To exercise a right, contact management@rcs-mg.co.uk. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

Complaints

Please contact us first so we can try to resolve your concern. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). Visit ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or telephone 0303 123 1113.
