Laxton Drive, Hucknall — Extension & Kitchen Refurbishment
RCS inherited an unfinished extension after the original contractor left site and delivered the remaining building, electrical, plumbing, flooring and kitchen works through to completion.
The project
RCS took over and substantially completed an unfinished extension and refurbishment at Laxton Drive in Hucknall after the original contractor left the works incomplete.
The extension approximately doubled the usable footprint at the rear of the home, creating a larger kitchen and living area. RCS assessed what had already been built, identified the outstanding work and coordinated the remaining trades through to a finished result.
The challenge
Inheriting partially completed work meant the team first had to understand the condition and quality of the existing installation. Electrical, plumbing, flooring, kitchen and finishing activities then had to be coordinated carefully around work already in place.
